Love God’s Way – The Week of April 26th 2011

What is love? If you took all three different kinds of love: eros, philia, and agape, meshed them all together and attempted to squeeze them out on the altar of your life; how might they manifest themselves? Much like renowned Dr. Peck described, “The will to extend one’s self for the purpose of nurturing one’s own or another’s spiritual growth.” Note that the reference to “one’s self” comes before the reference to “another’s” for without love for one’s self, without nurturing one’s own spiritual growth, without care of one’s self, one has nothing to give others.
