Holy - - - Week of June 29th 2010

Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did you come to destroy us? I know who You are – the Holy One of God!”

Mark 1:23-24

When you see them fighting and railing against Me, praise Me, for it is because deep within them, they know who I am. They know I am the Great I AM. The Holy One of God! Me, Jesus. They cry out in anguish and pain because they cannot escape the deep truth within them. I am Holy and those within and without the walls of the local church know My constant presence. Those within the walls whose hearts are true praise Me for that Holy presence. Continue to praise Me and know I receive blessing and honor from that praise. Then there are those present among you who’s hearts are not true and they wait and wait all the while crying out in their hearts for Me to ‘let them alone’ for My presence is too great for the uncleanness within them. They know Me – therefore, they fear I will clean up their uncleanness and to a heart that is not truly submitted to Me this is death; not the life that it truly represents. For you see they long to hold onto their uncleanness for they are deceived into believing that it brings them comfort, happiness, security… when all it really brings is death and freezes the heart and spirit of that person from real praise. The heart however, that is truly submitted to Me embraces the idea of having the uncleanness removed and longs for the presence of My Holiness. Their praise is freely given and they fear not My presence. The words “Let us alone!” are far from them. The words uttered in their praises are Hallelujah for Your presence, Holy is Your Name, Praise You My Father, Redeemer and Cleaner.

Movie: The Book of Eli – A Review

God has sent a powerful message to the world via Denzel Washington, clocked in an action movie titled “The Book of Eli.” If you are a Christian and have not seen this movie, view it with both some Christian and non-Christian friends. Let me share how I came to appreciate the movie.

I was going to the movies one day to see an entirely different movie. When I got there the movie I had gone to see was damaged in some way and could not be viewed. I began to pray because I knew I had prayed about going to the movie and knew I was supposed to go. I prayed looked up and God said to me, “Go see, “The Book of Eli.” I had to question for a moment what I was hearing. I knew nothing at all about the movie, never heard of it before. I walked over to the movie poster on the theater wall… Denzel Washington, not really a fan…looks like an actions flick, really not a fan…. seems almost like the film is militaristic, not something I would like… I could not seem to get really, what the movie was supposed to be about. This was exactly what God intended, not just for me but also for people in general.

Convinced now that I heard from God correctly I buy my ticket, go in, sit down, and watch the film. It took me, a somewhat spiritually savvy person, a little while to get where this film was going but when I did and God reveals the true mission of this Eli character, played by Denzel Washington, it is one of the most powerful spiritual messages I have seen in the public arena in years. No, I will not tell you what it is; I will not give the film away in that manner. You will have to get past some ugly language on the part of the bad guys aka the evil characters of the film; but without getting the message of their depravity across through their ugly and crass ways, the spiritual message would not be as powerful.

A must see…rent it, view it, - I bought it - have your commitment to stand for God renewed.

WORSHIP - - - Week of June 22ND 2010

“These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.”

Matthew 15:8-9 Jesus speaking

“My covenant was with him, one of life and peace, And I gave them to him that he might fear Me; So he feared Me And was reverent before My name.

Malachi 2:5

My children, you honor Me with your songs and with your gestures but honor Me with your life the ultimate act of worship. For you can sing, dance and raise your hand yet your heart be far away. Those that draw near in purity and sincerity have My heart and need little words for they are honoring Me. But it is to those whose hearts are filled with everything but Me and My Will that I speak. You worship in an effort to show you worship, not in an effort to show love and honor for Me. For your heart does not honor Me. My desires are not your desires and what breaks My heart, does not break yours. You base your ways not on My Word but on man’s teaching. Teaching is meant to be a blessing when based on My principles and My Word. But when it is based on man’s, or your agenda, then it is corrupt whether accurate or inaccurate. I desire that you Worship Me because you know Me and know the life I desire for you is one of peace – peace with Me. Not peace around you, but peace within you. When you understand who I am in relation to your daily life and you understand My love and care for you then you cannot do anything but honestly and wholeheartedly worship Me. Then that Holy Fear – that AWE of Me becomes a part of your everyday life. That is real worship. Worship is humbling accepting My Perfect Will for your life. Whether that is for you to be an Evangelist, Chef, Mother, Ditch Digger, President, Dad, Pastor, Clerk, Homemaker, Minister, World Leader, Soldier, Construction Worker, Actor, Sailor or a Businessperson. To do what I have chosen for you to do with the highest degree of godliness, dignity, love, honor and excellence is the greatest way you will ever be able to worship Me on earth.

NEW Bible Study Starting June 22nd at www.GodsPalmTree.proboards.com

On June 22nd we will be beginning a new ongoing Bible Study on the ministries discussion board [www.GodsPalmTree.proboards.com]. I and the other ladies would really enjoy having you join us and give your input. We will be doing a verse-by-verse type study, which is more comprehensive than topic studies. We will begin by doing one chapter or section from a book of the Bible, at a time. This way we can move around the Bible more, yet, get the same in-depth richness from our studies. The first portion of Scripture we will study is the much-loved Psalm 23. Many people can quote these six beautiful verses but few have actually studied the verses in depth, in order to truly bask in their wonderful promises. Scripture text and questions will be posted one week, by Tuesday; the answers and authors notes will be posted the following week, by Tuesday…and so on.

Additionally, shortly after the Bible Study begins we will also begin a Book Discussion on the Book “Victory over the Darkness” by Neil Anderson. ISBN#0-8307-1375-1 A profoundly powerful book, which helps people realize the power of their identity in Christ.

If you are not sure how to navigate an online discussion board, I will help you navigate the board until you get use to using it. You will have to go to the site, sign up and activate your account. You might want to do this a couple of days prior to the beginning of the study, so that your postings and interaction can take place immediately. However, always feel free to join us at in anytime in the future.

If I can answer any questions for you please do not hesitate to ask. I do hope to interact with you there.

AFFLICTIONS - - - Week of June 15th 2010

I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.

The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.

The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalms 34: 4, 7, 18,19

Why must My children try to compare their affliction to that which I suffered on their behalf? Their cross is not the cross I carried. My cup is not their cup. Can they not just look upon the love displayed through the cross I carried and the cup I drank from and recognize that the same love will also lift the afflictions that now surround them. Because I have done for them, does not mean they too must suffer some horrendous thing that in some way will be a shadow of what I did. There is no earthly suffering that will be a shadow of what I did for them on the Cross. Only pure love understands that deed. I ask them to carry their cross, not to suffer terrible affliction as a means to compensate for My deed on the Cross. They, not I, have made it into that. It is twisted and does not represent My love for them or their love for Me. I have said I would free them from their fears, I will have My Servants protect them, My Spirit will be in that moment of agony that they just cannot contain or understand and I will see them through the many, yes many, afflictions that life will bring. All I ask is for their love, devotion to the humble realization that My blood is the righteous coat they wear (for this is what it means to be made righteous) and a life that is given to live out My principles as I have laid them down (for this is what it mean to be a righteous person). I never ask them to be the Perfect Sacrificial Lamb that many falsely believe they must and that it is godly to be.

Week of June 8th 2010 – Spiritual Essay Question

Spiritual Essay Questions

What joy can be found in trusting God and why?

Most of you understand how this segment works but for those of you who have questions read the following:

Note:

Whether you write your thoughts for private or public reading please do so before reading other people’s thoughts, as this will provide you with a confirmation that your thoughts, beliefs, and ideas are supported by both the Lord Jesus and other Believers.

Purpose and Goal of Questions

God uses the Word in our lives in order to conform us to His image [Romans 8:29]. Therefore, time spent in reflection on the Word, pondering the principals and commands of the Word is vital to spiritual growth. In so doing we should resist the urge to “see others” in Scripture, analyzing what they should be doing and instead focus on ourselves, society as a whole, or humanity in general.

That stated…

The series of questions, present one at a time, are meant for such pondering, reflection, and thought. Please allow other individuals to grow and be enriched, as a result of your reflections on the Word, by means of posting your thoughts via the “comment” link provided.

Either way, may Gold deeply ingrain wisdom within your spirit as you ponder each question.
