Canadian Supreme Court Rules Biblical Speech Opposing Homosexual Behavior is a ‘Hate Crime’

http://christiannews.net/2013/02/28/canadian-supreme-court-rules-biblical-speech-opposing-homosexual-behavior-is-a-hate-crime/

2 Corinthians 6:14 (NKJV) Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

Revelation 18:4 (NKJV) And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

Mark 13:9 (NKJV) (Jesus speaking) “But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them.

Few men and women of God are standing up on this issue. Even fewer are getting the support they need from their brothers and sisters in Christ when they do. I personally have been placed in jail in connection with my beliefs on and stand for the biblical position on this matter. Then called self-righteous by my professed brothers and sisters in Christ because I had the courage to take a stand when the cost to myself personally was so dear. I have been dragged into court, etc. All because I will not accept what God deems unacceptable. Yes, man and the world will try to destroy the reputation of those who attempt to take a stand but is a "good worldly reputation” really what a DEVOTE Christian wants?

When did Christians become such fearful people?

Jesus Empowered Flesh Controls

Truth in Love – blog entry

Monday, March 25, 2013

Jesus nowhere in the gospels took up an offering, made a condition of His disciples that they give their tithe to Him, or asked them to sign some partnership/membership agreement. Jesus was instead chasing those from the temple who were using it for their personal gain. Jesus never set up a “cooperate” church or told His disciples, ‘I want you to go to Bethlehem and build a building on the corner of Elm and Oak Streets and there start gathering the flock in one spot.

Yet, today what do we see in pastors; I used the term lightly because if anyone knows what a Pastor is they know what I am about to describe is not the individual with a true shepherds heart. Pastors who check their tithing records before they agree to meet with or minister to individuals within their congregations. Pastors who instead of empowering the people to be all they can be in Christ, to serve Him with their whole hearts are more interested in whether or not you have “officially” became a partner in their ministry or member of their church.

To call yourself a man of God, a Pastor, then stand in your pulpit and tell the people ‘We need two more people to help hand out candy at the parade, if you are a partner with this congregation then please come see me if you are interested in giving out candy.’ How horrid in the eyes of God. Because moreover what you are clearly saying without saying it is, ‘If you are not a member of this church congregation, if you have not agreed to what we view as partnership with this fellowship, then do not even bother to come see me about serving, to me you are not even worthy of giving out candy.’ How such must sound to the ears of Jesus a Man who spent His earthly life and gave His life so people might be and feel included not excluded, be given liberty and freedom not controlled.

The example I just gave was a real one. It came from the mouth of a gifted preacher who I believe loves God in many ways; but to call him a Pastor is still in debate. One can label themselves with the title without carrying the spiritual calling from Christ. Pastor’s gifts show themselves differently; yet, let grace note that this might just be a spiritual blind spot. Nevertheless, it is an actual example of the type of thing taking place within the Body of Christ. I ask myself, the float that will be in the parade where they candy will be given out; will it have the actual name of Jesus on it? I guess it might now. Whether the name of Jesus actually appears or not I can almost certainly guarantee you that the name of that “church congregation” will most certainly appear and appear more and/or in larger print than the name of Jesus.

May God forgive the failings of those who are meant to be His spiritual leaders.

Remnant of God

Truth in Love – blog entry
Monday, March 11, 2013
The current SPIRITUAL Remnant of God are those Followers of Christ who exhibit extraordinary devotion, being both proficient and spiritually gifted; these individuals are the faithful dependable heart of the church, given to prayer and are the core of both the local congregation and the universal Body of Christ.
The Body of Christ is made up of all who truly believe in Christ, but in the last days, there is and will be widespread apostasy; a remnant of devoted followers has been called out to keep the principles and commands of God alive and before the people and keep faith in Jesus’ atonement pure and alive. This remnant will bring forewarning of the arrival of the judgment, proclaims salvation through Christ Jesus alone, and heralds the approach of His second coming.
The Remnant will be exiled from the world and apostate church congregations, whether by choice or not, because they are at odds with the direction of the world and mere religious society. The remnant within the Body of Christ are what will remain once the established religious society, who often call themselves the corporate church, have departed from sincere devoted and brought about the ruin of the purity of Christianity and the Original Church. Of God’s people, many if not most will fall or have fallen away. God prunes His Church and the Remnant could well be all that remains; and He will prune them so that they are purified to His Standard.
These people are the militant spiritual warrior of the Body of Christ. These spiritual activists… confrontational, revolutionary, radical, combative individuals who continue to remind the Church and the world that God did, and does, provide a Standard which He expected, and expects, His people to lift up and present to the world.
The presence, release, and freedom given to the spiritual gift of prophecy is an identifying mark of a remnant church or the absence of the same can be an identifying mark of a church lacking the remnant.
My current focus of ministry is on the spiritual development of these individual…the remnant few. I am slowly divesting myself of all others to make room for helping these spiritual warriors develop the gifts, talents, callings, and abilities God has placed within them.

Prejudice Within

Prejudice Within

Truth in Love – blog entry – Monday, March 04, 2013

This was written a while back but I have been waiting for the right time to make it available; God indicated this is the right time, confirmed by the fact that several teacher, preacher, and prophets have been speaking the same things as of late.

We will examine Acts 10:34-36 however, for context read Acts 10 and 11 when times allows.

34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. 35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. 36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ— He is Lord of all—

Acts 10:34–36 (NKJV)

Christian Denominations have done the same as the Biblical Jews, built a wall or barrier of prejudices. We are but One Body in Christ Jesus and One Church yet; to look around the Christian Community you would not know that to be so.

Diversity seems celebrated nowhere less than in the Christian Community. If we have a mandate to love, which we do, why then is this not true of our Body. No, we are not to love “sin” or even accept sin among us but anyone who has read my writings for very long knows that is not what I am advocating. We completely and totally reject sin but we do not reject one another.

The excuse that doctrinal differences are the reason for our barriers and prejudices is unacceptable unless those doctrinal differences are grounded in A – A denial of the Deity of Jesus, the Christ, the Messiah and the only source for the Salvation of mankind or B – The denial that the Holy Bible is the inspired infallible Word of God. Not anything outside of that will most likely determine if your brother or sister will stand beside you in the Heaven.

These barriers and prejudices are weakening the Body of Christ and they have been doing so for many, many years. Our lack of unity is a blemish on Christ’s very purpose and on what it means to be a part of the family of God. Disunity often born out competition, which is simply disgraceful. We are to be working together to glorify Christ not working against one another to see who can out do who, whose ministry or church can be bigger, who can produce the most worship CD’s or write the most books. Remember if you want to be first you will most likely end up being last – last in the Kingdom of God, maybe first in the world’s standards. How sad if the word’s standards are all you are ever able to achieve.

Manipulate God?

Manipulate God?

Truth in Love – blog entry – Tuesday, February 12, 2013

For those saints who have been around for a while let me ask you a question. Do you ever look around at what is going on in some church congregations, who call themselves Christian, and just shake your head in disbelief? Do you look in the faces of the Christian generation[s] after you and see the vacancy, which is meant to be filled with Christ’s Truth and Passion? Why? Why then, are these things as they are in God’s House? Because the secular world has moved in and took up residence.

Granted, if you are waiting to find a perfect spiritual leader or you are waiting for the perfect church congregation, or if you are simply looking for a spiritual leader with whom you can agree all the time, then you will be looking for a very long time. If we have a brain in our head, we will never agree with another person all the time, nor will we ever find a perfect spiritual leader apart from Christ or perfect saints with whom to fellowship. That however, does not mean we cozy up with a cobra or for that matter partake in what is ungodly and/or worldly to placate our spiritual leader or our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

The world, worldly ways, and even new age type practices have entered into almost ninety percent of the American Christian Churches in one form or another. Some are very obvious and some are much more subtle. The individuals speaking out against these practices are growing fewer and fewer and the younger generations are being pulled in deeper and deeper. They have no clue that they are being manipulated and lead astray from Truth – for what they are being told is easier to follow and makes them feel like they are part of something big and important and they are desperate for that type of feeling. The cost for that will one day have to be paid however, and when the tab comes, I fear it will drive them from Christianity for good. Why? Because you cannot manipulate God and that in part is what they are being taught to attempt and do in one form or another. When it all comes crashing down and they one day find out it is not going to work, who will get the blame, not the leaders who taught them incorrectly but most likely God and it is God who will be abandoned. It however, is not God’s fault; it is the fault of those who have chosen to manipulate them for their benefit.

An Example:

Let me start by making a couple of things very clear. Do I believe you should attend a local church? Yes. Do I believe you should understand that congregation’s doctrine and mission, hopefully being in support of both on most points? Yes. Do I believe you should tithe into the work of the spiritual leadership that feeds and ministers to you? Yes. Should you love and support your brothers and sisters in Christ? Yes. Should you allow yourself to be manipulated into any or all of these practices? No!

I have personally witness the weekly practice of cult like manipulation in a Christian Church with a spiritual leader who I believe actually to know God but this area of their leadership is woefully in error. This congregation is weekly exhorted to join hand at the end of service, just before the offering is taken, and recite what amount to nothing more than a new age mantra that is mean to basically brainwash them into believing its content. In essence it indicated that they partnered with that local church in that church’s mission and that they faithfully give ten percent of their income, aka the tithe, to that specific church and in return God is going to do for them.

Now people may be able to be manipulated by brainwashing them through repetition of a creed – I am generous to call it that. You may be able to make them feel more loved and like they are a part of something much bigger by having them join hand while doing so. However, you are not going to make God act on their behalf because you are manipulating them – for the God of the Universe, the Creator of all things, will not have demands placed on Him and will not bow to manipulation. Manipulation comes from a Jezebel type spirit and is a form of witchcraft - the Bible says God hates the practice of witchcraft.

Again, love your local congregation. Respect your spiritual leaders – as they follow God and His Word. Give your tithe from a clean heart and without showmanship. Do not however let yourself become someone else’s drone. Yes, it is harder to stand up and be who God created you to be but never forget God created you to follow Him, His Will and Purpose not man’s and it is your thanks back to Your Creator, for your very life, that you do just that.

When Nothing Works

Truth in Love – blog entry

Monday, January 21, 2013

Read the following as if it were written just for you, as I am going to try to communicate a couple of spiritual principles to you.

You are trying to get all the help you can – yet, nothing is working. Why? Because you are trying to get all the help, you can.

You get angry because people will not appease you but appeasing you is not what you need. All the help in the world is not going to help you. Here is what is going to help you; the applied work of the Cross [Jesus] and Truth [Jesus]. First focus on meeting “Truth” then understanding who Christians are in Christ and the power of the work of the cross.

It seems you do not want to accept the simple truth, you expect it to be so much more – so you keep searching and searching. Moreover, you will keep on searching and searching. You will keep going from person to person, program to program, idea to idea, one experience to another experience [which is going to really make a difference or so your mind tells you] - - doing nothing but wondering around in the wilderness and plenty of people will be more than willing to help you stay there so you can feed their egos – but you will not see the victory you wish to have, the healing you so crave, etc. through these means if you just keep running to __________. When it is all over and you have searched high and low - - suffering needlessly in the process - - you will discover that the two things I told you from the beginning are the only two things that are going to matter in life, healing, change, and spiritual growth – Truth coupled with Jesus’ work on the cross [actually applied] to a life is the only thing that WORKS.

In order to find victory you must be willing to submit to victory. If you are unwilling to submit, it is as if Jesus is working with His hands tied.

What you have to keep in mind is that accessing the spiritual power of the Godhead will always come through Christ, it will always come in Jesus’ name, and it will always be a manifestation of the work of the cross. All spiritual growth, any change you have in your life, any recovery, any healing, any renewal, any answered prayer, anything that is godly and spiritual in a godly nature will come to you and be appropriated to you by applying the work of the cross; that is the only way it is coming to you or going to manifest in or around your life, is by applying the work of the cross.

Become

Become

Truth in Love – blog entry – Monday, January 14, 2013

Become

A principle expressed by many in different ways but stated best, in my opinion, by Margaret Thatcher, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 –1990 and in political service from 1959-1990.

A paraphrase

THOUGHTS

Watch your thoughts or they will become your words.

WORDS

Guard your words or they will become your actions.

ACTIONS

Govern your actions or they will become your habits.

HABITS

Safeguard your habits or they will become your character.

CHARACTER

Value and protect your character for it WILL determine your destiny.

DESTINY

WHAT WE THINK WE BECOME.

Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Unity of the Body or The New World Order

Truth in Love – blog entry – Friday, December 28, 2012

The unity of the Body of Christ must take place in order for the members of the Body of Christ to stand up against the uniformity of society, i.e. The New World Order. If the Body of Christ is left to stand as individuals, as individual families, as individual congregations, as individual denominations they will be picked off one by one. However, through collectively standing together based upon mutual belief in the infallibility of God’s Word and that Salvation is through Christ Jesus alone; this unity will help Believers stand against the erosion of Christian Rights. A tearing away of the Christian’s rights will be part of what is needed in order to bring the world into uniformity, which will be known as The New World Order and it will be proposed and packaged as a form of unity which helps the world and all peoples therein. It is a false belief that has power because it is a counterfeit of a Truth, which is in fact the unity of One Body of Christ. In every lie, in every counterfeit there are grains of truth.

Wake up - wake up Body of Christ! They are stripping your right away one by one! We do not give up our Christian Rights we lay down our personal rights in order to serve Christ; we do not give up our rights granted to us by Christ.

They are stripping away and destroying the spiritual leaders who can hold up a vision of God’s true Standards, what in Biblical Times we might have called the Prophets and Prophetess, those spiritual leaders whether you call them Prophets or you simply call them Divinely inspired spiritual leaders, either way the world is stealing those from you; they are taking them away from you through the psychiatric system.

Wake up Church! Wake up you are asleep in the Light! Look at what is really going on in the world you are living in. Take your head out of the sand, lift your eyes to heaven, and ask Christ how He wants you to begin to ACT.

Christian Children Persecuted in America

Truth in Love – blog entry

Monday, December 17, 2012

In relation to the persecution of the Church in America.

I was informed this past week by a grandmother in Oklahoma that her grandson, six years old, is being suspended from school for telling his classmates that Jesus healed his ears. The little boy had been enduring for some period of time the need to have tubes within his ears to aid his hearing. At his last doctor’s appointment the doctor told him he would no longer need the tubes. When the six-year-old little boy went back to school, he told many of his classmates about how Jesus had healed his ears. Now he is going to be suspended for, ‘Talking about Jesus at school.’ The issue seems very much attached to the fact this little boy was talking about Jesus and not a generic god by using the term God.

Two points on this matter:

1 – The hate for the name of Jesus is so intense in this country now that they would persecute a six-year-old boy. Does the Body of Christ realize what that means for them and where we are going as a country?

2 – Where are the Christians to help this boy? When I got the report, it was presented as nothing was being done. What will happen to this little boys faith if no one steps up to protect him and stand by his side for what he believes? Not saying he will, but he could be spiritually damaged severely.

Point being… Christians must be there for Christians. We need unity, where unity is based on a true dedication to Jesus and the Word of God. Without unity, without support, without being there for each other when persecution comes, we will see, many cave and crumble under the weight of persecution from the Jesus haters.

11And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

When Love Becomes Sin

Truth in Love – blog entry

Thursday, December 13, 2012

When love and peace are promoted to the point that Christians couple themselves with others who despise and reject the Name of Jesus, and who do not see Jesus as the only path to Eternal Salvation, and true Christians begin to promote these individual as co-equals in God's Redemptive Plan for mankind then the purpose which started out as showing God's love has become sin. This is not true godly unity; it is a counterfeit of the unity God wishes for His True Church.

Applying the Work of The Cross

Truth in Love – blog entry – Monday, December 10, 2012

Recently, God spoke to me about how we, meaning His people, including myself, do not fully comprehend, nor can we, the full power afforded us and the depth of the work done on the cross. What I heard most prominently was that we needed to “Apply the work of the Cross.” to our various situations and prayers. What did/does that translate to in tangible everyday use? When we are in a situation where we do not know what to do, where we cannot seem to overcome, where or when temptation seems so great, when we do not know the proper direction or path to take in life, etc. we need to simply call out to God the Father with a simple prayer of… ‘Father God, in the name of Jesus, apply the work of the cross to this situation and I thank you for the power and work of the cross; in Jesus name I pray, Amen.’

Charlie Brown’s Christian Rights

Follow-up
Monday, December 17th, 2012
Good job CHRISTIANS - The Christ haters did not get their way.  The classic Charlie Brown Christmas Special, which depicts the true meaning of Christmas, will air on ABC, Tuesday, December 18th at 8:00 Eastern Time.  Bravo for ABC!

Truth in Love – blog entry

Charlie Brown’s Christmas? Really people! It is time for Christian to stand up for their "Christian Rights" 1st Amendment. We do not lay down our right for secular man people we lay down our rights for Jesus and Jesus' Purpose alone. Christian brothers and sisters your silence is a form of sin because you refuse to speak up and stand up for Christ. It is completely ridiculous that the much beloved television Christmas special, Charlie Brown’s Christmas, would not be shown because the group, Freedom from Religion, does not want it shown due to its content – the narrative of the true meaning of Christmas, Christ Jesus’ Birth and Purpose – the redemption of sinful mankind.

The Almighty or The World

Truth in Love – blog entry

Tuesday, November 20, 2012

“We shall find ourselves out of adjustment to the ways of the world, and increasingly so as we make progress in the holy way. We shall acquire a new viewpoint; a new different psychology will be formed within us; a new power will begin to surprise us by its upsurgings and its outgoings.” A.W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God

If you look like the world, there is a problem. If you think like the world, there is problem. If you act like the world, there is a problem. If you fit into the world, there is problem. If you belong to Jesus, you should be the opposite of the world.

Far too many Christian seem hell-bent on fitting into the world and into their environment within a secular society. Yet, if they know Christ and are growing in Him daily, they should be becoming just the opposite. They should increasingly find themselves maladjusted to their society.

Secular psychology and psychiatry tell us that we must look, act, and believe this way or we are not considered normal. Normal is so relative. Normal in a twisted society does not mean much. A secular worldview is worthless to the dedicated Follower of Christ. As we grow and mature in Christ, our worldview should become a Christian Worldview and our psychology of life should be the psychology of Scripture. Anything less is to sell ourselves short of all that God wishes for us to have and obtain in our godly mindset. We are to be Christ-minded not Man-minded.

Once we learn to seek the mind of Christ the power of Christ will become ours. Christ cannot trust a secular mind and secular heart with His power or it would be their ruin. Only the godly mind and heart can appropriately handle the power the Holy Spirit of God has to offer.

Which will it be? Man’s ways or God’s Ways? Man’s psychology or God’s Principles? A secular worldview or a Christian Worldview? A heart given to the world or a heart given completely to God? The mind of man or the mind of Christ? The power of the world or the power of the Almighty God?

God Will Give The Stubborn What They Seek

Truth in Love – blog entry

Thursday, November 08, 2012

People are seeking relief and revitalization not through true liberty but through a secondary form of slavery. Conformity to societal norms and needs is socialism. Conformity to God’s Word and Principles is freedom, liberty, and the fulfillment of one’s personal purpose.

Psalm 81:8–16 (NKJV)

8 “Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you!

O Israel, if you will listen to Me!

9 There shall be no foreign god among you;

Nor shall you worship any foreign god.

10 I am the Lord your God,

Who brought you out of the land of Egypt;

Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

11 “But My people would not heed My voice,

And Israel would have none of Me.

12 So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart,

To walk in their own counsels.

13 “Oh, that My people would listen to Me,

That Israel would walk in My ways!

14 I would soon subdue their enemies,

And turn My hand against their adversaries.

15 The haters of the Lord would pretend submission to Him,

But their fate would endure forever.

16 He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat;

And with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you.”

It appears that most of the people in America need, or want, to go even further down the path of destruction before they realize that God has a better way and they need Him to show them His path.

In the interim, may God Divinely protect His people and preserve them from the effects of societal destruction and decay.

Did You Invite the Boss

Truth in Love – blog entry

Friday, November 02, 2012

“God goes where He’s wanted.” Philip Yancey

A group might ask, ‘Why is God not moving among us? Why is nothing happening, here at our _________?’ Most likely the reason is God is not wanted there. God may have been invited but He is not truly desired.

It is much like an office party you intend to have at your house one weekend. You really want to have the party, you really want the company of all your coworkers and you dream about all the fun everyone will have. What you do not want however is for the boss to come. Yet, if you have half a brain, you are not going to have a weekend get-together with the entire office and not invite your boss. That would be career suicide. Therefore, what do you do; you invite the boss even though secretly within your heart you do not really want the boss to be there. When and if he shows up you will make nice and kiss up to him as need; but your heart wishes something would have happened, which prevented him from making it to your well planned, well organized, much anticipated and greatly desired party.

Do you really want the boss there? Is God really invited into ____________?

Send the Fire

Thou Christ of burning, cleansing flame,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!
Thy blood-bought gift today we claim,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!
Look down and see this waiting host,
Give us the promised Holy Ghost;
We want another Pentecost,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!

God of Elijah, hear our cry:
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!
To make us fit to live or die,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!
To burn up every trace of sin,
To bring the light and glory in,
The revolution now begin,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!

’Tis fire we want, for fire we plead,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!
The fire will meet our every need,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!
For strength to ever do the right,
For grace to conquer in the fight,
For pow’r to walk the world in white,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!

To make our weak hearts strong and brave,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!
To live a dying world to save,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!
Oh, see us on Thy altar lay
Our lives, our all, this very day;
To crown the off’ring now we pray,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!

A man who looked upon the moral and spiritual decay of the world and the church and realized that something radical needed to happen to bring people back to God. William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army was that man’s name. Have you notice the spiritual and moral decay of your world, of America?

Crisis Within the Body of Christ

Crisis Within the Body of Christ

We must realize that the Church, the actual Body of Christ, is in crisis. There is a great split among the outward manifestation of inward faith, in that we see a very postmodern church which is taking a form of ungodliness and a more devote church which is struggling to adhered to, live out, and hold up a godly standard in an ever increasing ungodly society and ungodliness from within the Body.

7 Perfect Verses for American Reform and Revival

7 Perfect Verses for American Reform and Revival

The Reforms of Asa - 2 Chronicles 15:1-7 NKJV

1Now the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded. 2And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him: “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. 3For a long time Israel has been without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law; 4but when in their trouble they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them. 5And in those times there was no peace to the one who went out, nor to the one who came in, but great turmoil was on all the inhabitants of the lands. 6So nation was destroyed by nation, and city by city, for God troubled them with every adversity. 7But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!”

“Reform” means according to Webster’s Dictionary:

transitive verb

1 a : to put or change into an improved form or condition b : to amend or improve by change of form or removal of faults or abuses

2 : to put an end to (an evil) by enforcing or introducing a better method or course of action

3 : to induce or cause to abandon evil ways

noun

1 : amendment of what is defective, vicious, corrupt, or depraved

2 : a removal or correction of an abuse, a wrong, or errors

Maturity of The Body – Truth in Love – blog entry

Maturity of The Body – Thursday, September 13th 2012– blog Entry

Just as an individual Christian needs to mature in their walk with Christ, the Body of Christ, the Church, also needs to mature spiritually as a whole. If an individual does not mature as a person, it will limit their ability to function properly in life. In just the same way, if the Body of Christ does not mature spiritually in a proper manner it will limit their ability to function effectively, with godliness, and a properly within their society. This immaturity will hinder the work of the Kingdom of God immensely.

The first sign of that maturity must be an affirmative to the following. Are we adhering to the written Word of God? The Word of God is absolutely true and the foundation from which all of our conduct should arise, as both individuals and a Body. We must not take the attitude that we can pick and choose what parts of God’s Word we believe to be true and what parts we believe to be subjective. To believe the Word of God to be absolutely true is not about being "traditional" it is about TRUTH. Forget traditional values and embrace truth as found in God’s Word. Traditions, even traditional values, are subject to environment and culture whereas God’s Word supersedes environment and culture.

Until we can come to a point where we have matured to the degree that we can receive each other in unity and love as members of the same Body, and open our hearts wide to each other [2 Corinthians 6:11-13] we will not see the fullness of what Christ wishes to do through us in the earth.

NKJV | ‎2 Co 6:11-18 O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open. ‎12 You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections. ‎13 Now in return for the same (I speak as to children), you also be open. ‎14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? ‎15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? ‎16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” ‎17 Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” 18 “I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty.”

YOU MUST BE DIFFERENT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Political Correctness - The Killer of the Church

Truth in Love – blog

Political Correctness-The Killer of the Church – Friday, August 31st 2012 – blog Entry

If you are a Bible believing Jesus Follower who loves the Savior, the Christ, the One and Only Jesus I beg you, lay parts of your theological bent aside for a moment and give a big shout out to the Republican National Convention’s Prayer aka Invocation from last evening, August 30th. That prayer was offered, ‘IN THE NAME OF JESUS’ something you see little of anymore, much less on a stage and in a venue that large.

Does everyone realize what that could mean for our country? How glorious to honor our Savior Jesus in such a way!

All too often and for much too long now, spiritual leaders and lay people have been asked to make sure, when they offer a prayer publically that they do not invoke the name of Jesus or offer the prayer in the name of Jesus. Well, friends without the name of Jesus, without Jesus, that prayer is powerless. Jesus was, Jesus is, and Jesus will always be where the seat of power and authority lay. Sadly, many, many spiritual leaders have agreed to these terms. I have heard it said, ‘It is better to be able to go and have some influence by offering the prayer than it is to make a statement by not going because you are not able to pray in Jesus’ name.’ Well, if offering the prayer is all you are to do while you are there then I would disagree. More than once I have believed this type of compromise was made, not for God, not for Jesus, but for the person who was invited to pray; quite simply they wanted to go, they wanted to be the one who was able to pray at this event, so they conceded to the compromise. May JESUS forgive them.

The use of the term “invocation” verses “prayer” has always bugged me as well. Instead of me sharing why I am going to share the definition of both words. Once you have reviewed the definitions of both words I believe my reasons for preferring the word “prayer” over the word “invocation” will be as apparent as why it is imperative to pray in the name of Jesus.

prayer:

1 a (1) : an address (as a petition) to God or a god in word or thought <said a prayer for the success of the voyage> (2) : a set order of words used in praying b : an earnest request or wish

2 : the act or practice of praying to God or a god <kneeling in prayer>

3 : a religious service consisting chiefly of prayers — often used in plural

Fellow lovers of Jesus, do you understand that, political correctness is killing the Church’s effectiveness and that the dead of the Church’s effectiveness means the destruction of this country?

The Next American Revival

Truth in Love – blog

Monday, August 27th 2012 – Entry – The Next American Revival.

The disciples were assembled in the upper room “in one accord” at Pentecost and the next move of God among the entire Body of Christ will be brought about as the Body of Christ seeks unity. Unity will bring a revival across America that will be unlike anything we have seen in our lifetime. For Christ centered denominations, congregations, families, and individuals to be a part of that revival; reconciliation, renewal, a resurgence of courage and boldness will have to take place…repentance will have to come.

In Webster’s Dictionary, the second definition for the word revival is as follows:

2: restoration of force, validity, or effect (as to a contract)

Is that not what each revival in church history has done?

1- Restored the force of spirituality over secularism.

2- Proved the validity of God and God’s authority.

3- Reestablished the effectiveness of the Body of Christ on the society in which it lived.

4- Renewed, spiritually, the covenant [contract] God has with His people.

Friday, August 17, 2012 – Lift up our eyes with changed hearts.

God is calling His people to look toward heaven and toward Him with changed hearts. Hearts of timidity and coward-ness have replaced the hearts of fervent passion and courage that once lead great rivals and transformed lives. Fear and self-loathing have crept into the Body of Christ and they have no place among God people. It is time to return to God as the Provider of boldness, courage, strength, and passion. Repent church and look upon the face of God afresh.

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Word of the Lord–8.10.12

Friday, August 10, 2012

Thus saith the Lord your God…I called My people to reconciliation I did not call them to deterioration. They call upon Me in their hour of need and wonder why I am silent. What fellowship do I have with sin, with distortion, with dishonor…I honor them by not partaking in their demise.

Whom do we honor, today? The approach to Memorial Day.

Whom do we honor, today? The approach to Memorial Day.

Yesterday in church, Pastor, like so many other Pastors and people in general, focused on and asked if anyone in our congregation had served or was currently serving in the military and if so would they stand up so they could be honored this Memorial Day. My husband who had served his country for 23 years did not want to stand up, I had to nudge him and say, “Stand up honey.” Later I asked him why he never wants to stand up on Memorial Day weekend when this occurs. His answer, “It is not about me. Memorial Day is for those who died serving; Veteran’s Day is for me.” I thought to myself now there is someone who truly wants to honor the ones who deserve honoring. I know Pastors heart was good, as is many on television and in pubic arenas who thanks our Veterans but as an old retired Veteran reminder me, let us all remember it is about those under the ground not the ones sitting beside us. We can thank them on Veterans Day for today let us take a silent moment to remember those who made it possible to grill today, sit with family, visit a military graveyard, whatever we choose to do we will do in part because one of those brave individuals who died.

Truth in Love – blog entry for May 25th 2012 - Question about Christian Community’s Survival

Re: Question about Christian Community’s Survival

Friday, May 25, 2012

For many of you much of what I am about to write may be a given, to others it may be new or even controversial. Please know my heart is not to be condescending or patronizing to anyone but instead to make a spiritual plea for the survival and wellbeing of the Body of Christ as a whole. Therefore, I humbly submit to you for your prayerful consideration what God has been urging me to share.

In order to impact and influence our society we must all be paddling our boat in a similar direction. We live in a time in history where the togetherness of the TRUE Christian Community is going to be vital to it’s health. The Body of Christ is being torn apart by an imbalance in its teaching or a flat out refusal to stand for God’s Standard on certain issues, the result being a loss of influence on and in our society. The world looks at us and sees so much infighting and so many wishy-washy beliefs that they have no interest in exploring what our Jesus has to offer them. Tons of once dedicated and devoted Christians and Christian Leaders have taken the concept of loving the world into the kingdom to the point that they have sold out God’s Principles and Standards along the way. We have lost our way as a collective group, many hearts have hardened and most are so guarded they cannot extend their arms to their brothers and sisters in Christ. Leaders are so worried that unity means selling out their beliefs that they are by default selling out Christ Church and purpose through their disunity.

There are many levels of commitment, many sub-cultures, and many forms of oppression within the Christian Community as a whole. A general lack of unity along with localized self-centeredness, which has taken the form of isolation within one’s own local ministry, project, outreach, and/or congregation, has perpetuated the growth of some dangerous teachings and/or positions on societal issues. Whereas the issues listed below are in no way an exhaustive list of the thorns of disunity they are some of the most important and influential of our current day. They are the issues, which the TRUE Church must come together on in unity and hold as God’s Standard in order to regain their godly power, godly strength, and godly influence as a light to the world. Let us remember our unity effects our anointing, Psalm 133. Jesus knew and stated in John 13:11 that not all of His disciple were clean, nevertheless, He chose to wash their feet.

(NKJV)

Psalm 133

Blessed Unity of the People of God

A Song of Ascents. Of David.

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is

For brethren to dwell together in unity!

2 It is like the precious oil upon the head,

Running down on the beard,

The beard of Aaron,

Running down on the edge of his garments.

3 It is like the dew of Hermon,

Descending upon the mountains of Zion;

For there the Lord commanded the blessing—

Life forevermore.

The issues of concern for contemplation:

We need to become one unified voice on these most critical of issues in our Body and in our society.

The Deity of Jesus and His virgin birth. This is not a debatable truth, it is critical to ones salvation that they have a proper understand of who Jesus is and how He came into the world from His heavenly abode. Jesus having no deity or not being born of a virgin equals no TRUE Christianity, period.

Homosexuality is a sin issue not a civil rights issue. The church and its leaders are much too politically correct on this matter. We are to be vessel of truth; therefore, political correctness is not something we should be known for possessing. We cannot sit by silently and watch those with the loudest voices decide what is right and not right, God has already done that. God in His Word, the Bible, labels homosexuality sin, not me, not you, and not man…God.

Marriage is only the man and woman relationship. Marriage comes from God, not government, and we must protect the scared union God formed. Marriage is representative of Christ’s union with His people, His Church, and as such should have its purity protected.

A balanced perspective on women’s service to the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ, and each congregation or ministry therein is made up of men and women. The idea that both sexes are not needed to minister to the needs of those people is simply ridiculous. Men need men and women need women in many if not most area of spiritual growth, restoration, and healing. We cannot allow the Body of Christ to be dominated by women who are oppressed by extreme fundamentalism nor by women who are in their mannerisms spiritual feminist. Women need to be affirmed in their personal calling by God and taught to serve God alongside men with full confidence and faith without usurping the authority of the direct and personal men God has placed in their lives; equal to in God’s eyes, yet, not dominate over these men. Both men and women have a purpose in and calling to ministry.

As Follower of Christ, our adherence is to God over earthly authorities. More so than any other time in my memory Christian Leaders and general Christians seems to be playing both sides of the fence. They are willing to represent God and God’s agenda to the point that it does not conflict with other authorities. Yet, most of Jesus’ disciples were put to death for siding with God and God’s Ways over local governmental and spiritual authorities. We obey as long as it does not require that we sin against what God has given us, or told us, to do. We as a collective group seem to have forgotten this inconvenient truth.

Okay you have been confronted now. So what are you going to do? Are you going to lift your voice and help the Christian Community survive in America?

Have a great Memorial Day.

Tuesday, May 08, 2012 – Entry – The Great Divide

The different depths and cultures of Christianity, meaning true Believers and Followers of Jesus the Christ, within the United States along is so vast. Spiritually speaking, it is like the great divide of Christianity. Granted I have not been to or lived in every area of the country but I have been to and lived in a great many of them and have served to in full-time ministry in most of them I have been to or lived in; and I can assure you the difference between the spiritual depth of, and/or oppression of, God’s people is a vast. Now is this because of God or because of man?

The area of the country that I currently live in is vastly more spiritually oppressed and so far behind what God is doing among His people than any other place I have lived in since the beginning of my ministry. It is as though God has brought me personally full circle back to the same type of environment that I started out in some 20 years ago when I first went into the ministry. Things that God was showing us 20 years ago, things that we were enacting by the mid to late nineties, are brand new concepts in this part of the country. Yet they are not brand new, God has been moving in this capacity for at least 15 to 20 years. So this begs the question, Why the disconnect, why the great divide?

In part, the answer can be found in spiritual oppression itself. In more oppressed environments, God has a much more difficult time getting people to recognize and implement His Will and Purpose[s]. In these environments you find a lot of religiosity, better known as religious tradition, a heavy resistance to change, a lot of fear, unbalanced leadership meaning leaders who are way too liberal or way to dogmatic or fundamentalist in nature. Now don’t get me wrong, there something to be said for a certain amount of dogmatism and fundamentalism. The key here is a certain amount of each, as they relate to basic doctrine and the authority of the Scripture; both are fine and a necessary component in our society. However, there is a darker side to dogmatism and fundamentalism and that dark side stunts the work of God.

Another part of the problem that creates the great divide or that disconnect spiritually is the individuals who permeate the Christian community in leadership but are not servant leaders they are hirelings, there for financial gain, social gain, political gain, to feed it their own wants and desires, and or what the Bible calls selfish ambition. Yes, they are there, they are around you every week when you go to church. They are just more prevalent in some locations that others. Therefore, where people do not have a sincere heart for what God wants to do among His people, He cannot work or move. For these individuals it is more about them than it is about what God is doing or what God wants to do. That is completely backwards, it is always, I repeat always, about God!

In answer to our original question, it is not God who is holding up the show, it is man. Therefore, the reason that you see what appears to be God working among His people at different times in different places is really a manifestation of the people’s willingness to respond to what God is doing. God is continually seeking the cooperation of His people in order that He might manifest is Will and Purpose on earth. The problem is they will not respond to in unison. The fact that God’s people have not responded in unison has created a vacuumed that the Enemy has been able to come into and fill. That vacuumed and it results can be found in the distorted religious groups, which call themselves, chrisitan [small “c” intended]. If only Gods people would unite in fulfilling His Will the impact on our country would be astounding. Won’t you please join me in doing that? Will you please urge your local Christian community to do that? Do we not owe it to Jesus after all He has done for us?

Truth in Love – blog - - - Tuesday, May 1st 2012 – Entry – Difference Blindness

Truth in Love – blog

Tuesday, May 1st 2012 – Entry – Difference Blindness

The Body of Christ is guilty of focusing so much on its internal differences that it has lost its ability to be a voice within the United States. What was once a country rich in the blessings of God, a country that honored Jesus, has become a country where Christians and Christianity is widely discriminated against. How did this happen? It was able to take place because Christians were so concerned with their internal and denominational differences that they took and focus off the society that they were living in and placed it on one another, to their own peril. Now they live in a society where it is considered an offensive to have a cross mark a memorial for fallen military personnel. Whether those persons are Marines’ killed in our most recent conflicts and wars or men killed years ago in World War I. Wake up Church take off your blinders, your difference blindness is creating your own demise!

In recent years, there have been many of us who have called for unity within the Body of Christ. We have called not for unity born out of sin or acceptance of sin or born out of the acceptance of doctrinal error regarding salvation through Jesus and Jesus along or doctrinal error concerning Jesus’ deity and virgin birth. But unity born out of an understanding that despite the fact that we disagree on traditions, doctrine [apart from salvation], customs, scriptural interpretation, manner and style of worship, etc.; at the point of salvation we are all part of One Body, we are all going to heaven, and we are all going to spend eternity together. When I use the word, “all” I speak of those individuals who have put their trust in Jesus alone for salvation. Jesus’ disciples disagree with each other, disagreed about what should be done, misunderstood each other, did not necessarily like each other, and even disagreed with Jesus himself; yet they understood that the mission of the Church was more important than the personalities within the Church. We too here in America better come to understand that same principle before we are a fully persecuted group, with all that might entail. If we do not stand up, we will be pushed down and shut up.

In the lifetime of anyone reading this today there are two places on earth which have probably been most identified with Christianity and Jesus. Those two places are first, Israel and the holy cities of a Bethlehem and Jerusalem and then second, the United States of America. Yet today Christianity is at an all time low in these locations. Christianity in America has given way to apathy and skepticism. Last week there was an in-depth news story on 60 minutes regarding Christianity and the holy land. In the birthplace of Jesus, Bethlehem, and in the city of His death and glorious resurrection, Jerusalem, the number of Christians remaining amounts to less than 1% of the population. Where Christianity began is now almost completely non-Christian. The Christian spiritual leaders in that region are attempting to get the word out about the demise spiritually of these holy cities yet they are met with opposition from the government. In their words, they fear that the holy cities of Bethlehem and Jerusalem will turn into mere tourist attractions or a Christian theme park. Someone within my own home expressed concern that if something was not done, some of the most sacred places on earth might one day be destroyed.

Why has all this happened? Because the Body of Christ has been so consumed with focus on each other and have been so busy tearing each other apart, they have failed to be the Moral Light to the world that they were called to be. May God forgive us. May we repent! May we once again come to realize that we are part of THE CHURCH, meaning the entire Body of Christ, not just our local congregation and that we have a responsibility to focus on building the ENTIRE CHURCH as a group and not just focus on our local projects and interest.

Truth in Love – blog

Thursday, April 26, 2012 – Entry – Spiritual Burnout - An open letter...continued.

An open letter…

A friend and spiritual colleague wrote me sharing the following.

And I quote, “In my previous church, I saw that there are "worker bees" serving the Lord, but the reason for their work has been forgotten or pushed to the side. Those who serve do not serve in love for their Master, but serve in fear of reprimand or for some other reason. Duty, obedience? I don't know why. I just know it isn't for the Lord anymore, but I believe it used to be.”, end quote.

Now some of my thoughts on my friend and colleague’s insights.

At one time I had a wonderful pastor that told me there are those who are hirelings for the Lord, for them it is a profession and not much else. Then there are those who serve the Lord out of love and devotion, believing that God wishes to use them to make a difference in the world. Now I believe my friend and colleague has touched on a third category, the “worker bees.”

These individuals began serving the Lord out of love and devotion but have somehow reached the point where their service no longer brings joy to them, no longer is considered a privilege to them, but instead is considered somewhat of a burden. For these individuals it is time to take a break. The same wonderful pastor that I mentioned earlier also once told me, “You can hurt just as many as you can help.” Once service becomes a sense of duty only, obligation only, and feels burdensome to the person performing the service that individual can be a liability to the very people they are trying to serve. They are, to put it in a secular term, suffering from burnout.

Godly people suffer from emotional and spiritual burnout at times. It would be better for everyone, including themselves, if they would just realize this fact, accept it, and do something about it. Then once refreshed they can return to service for the Lord. By taking a break they might possibly prevent something from happening that would keep them from being able to return to Christian service.

Why are people reluctant however to take the break from spiritual service they need? The list of reasons why could be very extensive. I would like however to propose a few reasons, for thought and consideration.

1. They are finding their worth through their service to the Lord instead of finding their worth through being a creation of the Lords. When this is the case they cannot give up the service otherwise they are giving up who they are, at least in their minds.

2. They are afraid of being judged by others for taking a break. The fear of being misunderstood or being considered weak is too great for them. These people are living too much for the approval of others.

3. Their relationship with God is primarily based upon “works” instead of love and grace. The concept in these people’s minds is that God somehow loves them more, approves of them more, or blesses them more because they serve Him. The idea of their heart condition during the service seems to play no role, which is why it is more “works” based.

4. Guilt over sin in their lives. These people figure if they do more good through their service then they do bad in their sin, that God will be okay with that. This is not a doctrinally sound Christian viewpoint. This is however human nature. Human nature must be overcome with a Biblical truth.

5. They are simply out of touch with themselves and what is going on with their spiritual life. They’re just going through the motions and serving because “this” is what they have always done.

6. They cannot accept for themselves that everyone even Christians, including Christian leaders, sometimes need a break.

7. Selfish ambition will not allow them to admit their need. They have yet to get out of their Christian service what they want. These individuals are serving for themselves. They are not serving for God or the people, it is about what they want to accomplish.
